"Warbirds"---Worldwide Television Premiere(April 16th, 2008)

SciFi Channel to air film shot in the Baton Rouge Area (Baton Rouge, LA) April 19 at 8 pm central time marks the worldwide television premiere of Warbirds SCI FI Original movie. The film was shot locally in St. Francisville, LA at the Bayou Sara Game reserve which double for an island in the South Pacific and on stage in Baton Rouge, LA last summer. Produced by Baton Rouge based Films In Motion, the film was written and directed by Kevin Gendreau and stars Brian Krause (Beyond Loch Ness, Charmed) as Captain Jack Toller, Jamie Elle Man (Death Row) as Max West, Tohoru Masamune (Jumper) as Captain Ozu, local actors David Jensen (The Mist, Pulse 2) as Colonel W.R. Hamilton, Stephanie Honore (K-Ville, American Summer, Staircase Murders) as Lana, Caleb Michaelson (Mutants, Mike Epps Comedy Mix Tape) as Sergeant John Lee, Shauna Rappold (Death Toll) as Betsy Quigley along side several other locals. In the final days of World War II, a band of WASPs (Women's Air Service Corps) are enlisted to ferry a top-secret weapon to an American airbase in the Pacific. But when a violent storm forces them down onto a deserted Pacific island, they encounter enemies much more terrifying than the Japanese soldiers? Pterodons, flying monsters that have devastated what was left of the Japanese Imperial Air Force. This is a great movie for the entire family, says the films producer Jason Hewitt.

My congrats go out to the cast and crew for what will be one of the best films this year on the SciFi Channel, I would not be surprised if it gets nominated for an Emmy. Set in WWII, the film mixes great live action and animated dinosaurs created by Planet Clockwork, a Louisiana animation company. A red carpet premier hosted by Films In Motion will be in Baton Rouge at the Celtic Media Centre starting at 7 pm on April 19, 2008. The film will air at 8 pm central time on the SciFi Channel and will be shown on the HD theater screen at the Celtic Media Center. Attending will be several members of the cast and crew of the film.
