Brian Krause participated in the "Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation 1st Annual Celebrity Fishing Tournament" that was held on Saturday, May 17. The event was a fund-raiser for the lagoon foundation and its programs, with additional proceeds its going to benefit the United Anglers of Southern California and Hubbs Sea World Research Institute. A total of 15 celebs participated in this tournament. All 15 celebrity boats from the Bristol Cove Homeowners Association were filled with $100 fishermen who paid to fish with the celebrities. More than 100 fishermen and their children turned out for the event.
So someone actually got to fish with our GUY! Wow, that was one lucky person.
The event article mentioned that anyone over 16 yrs of age needed a fishing license to participate I guess that means that our GUY also has a fishing license.
Ok here comes the best part.
Prizes were to be awarded in three categories of competition:1. Bass
2.Sportfin croaker
3.California halibutWinning prize for all 3 categories was
$500.

longest fish in the celebrity division, a bass of 16 inches.

The inaugural Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation Celebrity Fishing Tournament held Saturday drew over 100 anglers. Jefferson Tafua took $500 for the bass category. Tyrone Moreno won the spotfin croaker division and Wayne Nelkirk took the halibut division with the longest fish of the tournament, a 25-incher.
Brian Krause, from the television series “Charmed,” caught the longest fish in the celebrity division, a 16-inch bass. All 15 celebrity boats had anglers who paid $100 to fish with celebrities. David Mirisch of Encinitas produced the event to raise money for the Aqua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation.
